Things To Know...

Auditions

All dancers, including current team members, must audition to be part of the 2020-2021 season! We are looking forward to seeing you share your talent and hard work with us! Submission deadline is June 1st, 2020.

Class Requirements

Mini – Dancers must be enrolled in Ballet and Jazz

Junior – Dancers must be enrolled in Ballet, Jazz, and Conditioning
Intermediate – Dancers must be enrolled in Ballet, Jazz, and Conditioning, as well as Musical Theatre, Tap, or Acro
Senior – Dancers must be enrolled in Ballet, Jazz, and Conditioning, as well as Musical Theatre, Tap, or Acro

*Age is the jumping off point when deciding team placement but technique will be the deciding factor. At the directors discretion, some dancers may be asked to dance outside of their age bracket.

*Those looking to compete in Hip Hop alone can audition to do so without enrollment in the above noted classes. This genre is the only exception.

Competitive Dances

Dancers will be selected for competitive choreography after careful deliberation among their instructors. Just because a child is enrolled in a particular style does not automatically mean they will be asked to compete in this genre.

Opportunities for solos, duets, and trios will be awarded at the directors discretion and must be earned. Technique, performance quality, overall attitude, and attendance are all important factors in the selection process. Having a solo, duet, or trio in the previous season does guarantee the same opportunity in the upcoming season.

Competitions

All team levels will compete in 3 to 4 competitions per season. Competitions will take place throughout southern Ontario.
